5 NEW ART EXHIBITIONS TO GO SEE THIS WINTER IN MIAMI

There are so many galleries emerging in the Miami art scene it can be hard to choose which ones to visit. We have narrowed down the top 5 exhibits for you to check out this season!

Spending your leisure time exploring new exhibits will spark creativity in your interior design decisions, so I seriously recommend you check at least some of them out. The visual arts will help inspire you to create a unique aesthetic to any room.

These new art shows will get you excited about collaborating and designing a space.

Come and marvel at one of the country’s biggest and best collections! “To Have and To Hold: 50 Years of Marriage and Collecting Contemporary Art” at the Rubell Family Collection. The Rubell family has been collecting art for many years and truly has an eye for talent, seeing the greatness in the works of Jean-Michael Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Jeff Koons.
Architecture and designs fans are swarming to see One Way: Peter Marino at the Bass Museum of Art. This show is much more then just Marino’s most popular designs, it is a look at the artist’s sense of personal style as well as the artworks he has commissioned.
At the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami you can enter the “Sanatorium” and be amazed by Pedro Reyes’s ongoing performative project that mixes art and psychology. You will get the chance to actually be a part of Reyes’s installation!
The Perez Art Museum Miami currently has five exhibits present with people lining up to see this Brazilian artist’s show; Beatriz Milhazes: Jardim Botanico. Mihazes is known for her mesmerizing patterned abstracts. Come see it before is closes!
Round off your gallery adventure with “Myth and Machine: The First World War in Visual Culture” at the Wolfsonian-Florida International University. This exhibit is full of sculptures, propaganda, posters, and more that focus on the realities of war and the relationships between man and machine. It will give you a surprising and meaningful note to end your art tour on.

A HIGH END INTERIOR SHOW ENTERS ITS SECOND YEAR

Back at the beginning of 2014, I had an idea. There are so many people out there interested in big end interior design but never get to see how the process really happens. Sure, there are great home improvements shows on HDTV and the like, but those are more for the Do-It-Yourselfers.

What I decided I wanted to do was create a series showing people how the most luxurious high end interior design and decoration projects come to life.

The result was DesignTV with Steven G.

As we enter the show’s second year, it’s become more than I ever could have hoped. Since we first started, We’ve taken you through the process from the warehouse to the showroom to the finishing touches. We’ve brought you interviews with some of the high end real estate and design world’s most prominent people. And so much more.

So as we embark on the second year of our show, I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for watching and making it happen.

AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT

We spend a lot of time here talking about the details of luxury interior design. Patterns.Materials. Colors. Furniture.

And so on.

With all that attention to the separate parts, it can sometimes become easy to forget about the whole.

It comes down to this: A home is a place where memories happen. If your interior decoration choices help make those memories warmer, you’ve succeeded.
